ArmadaGlobal is seeking a Senior Accountant who will work with the Controller, Staff Accountants, all stakeholders and vendors while providing leadership, expertise, and knowledge to all aspects of Accounting including but not limited to month-end close, audits, reporting, tax, payroll and commissions. They will strategize and work with the Controller to develop policies and practices to meet deadlines, increase department productively and support our internal and external clients. • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
• Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies
• Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries
• Summarizes financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements
• Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts; providing information for auditors
• Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements
• Secures financial information by completing database backups
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organization
• Bank and clearing account reconciliations, journal entries and variance analysis
• Responsible for Third Party Administrator (TPA) services related to consolidated billing, collection and remittance of insurance remittances and other employee and employer benefits on behalf of employers and insurance carriers
• Oversee all cash movement and related data
• Manages money received from third parties, allocating properly and time remittance of those funds
• Handles all audit inquiries, liaise with customers, relationship managers and third parties
• Handles ad hoc analysis and forecasting as requested
• Creates and implements operating and quality control procedures
• Creates and implements internal controls including preventative, detective, and corrective control
• Such other duties or tasks to assist the department of organization as the supervisor may deem necessary
• Ensures compliance with GAAP


• Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
• In depth understanding of GAAP
• Experience with GL functions as well as month/quarter/year end close processes
• Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines
• Highly detail-oriented and organized
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks
• Ability to maintain confidentially
• Proficiency with financial reporting software
• Needs to be receptive to and accepting guidance from others
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work well in a team environment
• Ability to research, analyze and report data
• BS in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
